I tried to catch the Lyrid Meteor shower but must have been too late. But I did catch the crescent Moon along with Venus just before Sunrise. I experienced the beautiful morning with a herd of Elk, Deer and the calls of the wild turkeys! I’m glad...
Spring is really coming to the foothills of Colorado! One of my favorite areas to visit is just South of Boulder along Plainview Road. Nearly every morning in Spring large herds of Elk can be seen on the extensive grasslands. Truly beautiful!
I decided to check out the areas around Roxborough and Castle Rock. I finally found the little area of Greenland and was surprised just how many old historic buildings were there.

I awoke early this morning to see a nice blanket of snow and ice on the ground. Since I didn’t wake up that early we headed to Clear Creek in Wheat Ridge. The temps were hovering around 10F deg and it sure made photography fun!
