After taking nature photos yesterday, I had the urge to do it again this morning. Waking up at 5:15 I left the house and headed toward North Table Mountain, just south of Arvada. I got to the trailhead at about 5:45am and started hiking to the top of the mountain. Its quite a steep trail but the views on top are always breathtaking. Although the sunrise was partially blocked by the clouds, the colors were still pretty intense. Once the sunrise colors fizzled away I decided to do some macro photography. I just love finding all the little details, textures and patterns which often times gets overlooked. To me its much more challenging than just capturing a grand scenic. One of my favorite things from this morning was seeing the blooming Barrel Cacti. Spring is most definitely here!
