After waking up around 3:45 this morning my father and I headed to Mount Evans for Sunrise. It wasn’t until we arrived in Idaho Springs did we notice that that road up the mountain was closed until 1pm today. So in lieu of the road being closed we just kept on going on I-70. We finally entered a very foggy Loveland pass and awaited the sunrise. The wind was howling at a pretty good clip and the temperatures were in the low 40’s. After walking around for a bit the sun came over the ridge and just about all the fog dissipated into the sunny clear skies. Overall a great way to spend a Saturday morning!
