Ever since moving from Broomfield to Arvada late last year, I began to take mass-transit to work and really haven’t done any photography during my commute. But having the urge to drive today, I took my old route down Highway 72 and ended up at my favorite location, Plainview Road. Having arrived just before the sunrise I drove all the way up to the train tracks and noticed about 10-15 deers and the sounds of the wild turkeys. I captured the sunrise from the upper portion of the road and while coming back down I noticed a huge scar on the land. I stopped my Jeep and realized that the scar was from the epic heavy rains from last September. As I started looking around I found even more evidence of the historic floods and know that I will be back to capture more of the the destruction.
