Arriving at Houston in the early morning hours we found ourselves needing a way to get to New Orleans. We figured that a flight from New Orleans to Denver, scheduled for later that afternoon, was the best chance for all of us to get on. So with that in mind, we rented a Budget van and started out for New Orleans. But before leaving Houston we stopped in at a Denny’s and I had myself a wonderful “Moons Over My Hammy”. I know its bad for you but it tasted oh so good! In many ways nothing says America quite like a Denny’s, especially in the South. After eating we embarked on the mini road trip through the gulf coast region. Overall the drive took around 6 hours and also marked my first time in the state of Louisiana. We arrived at the airport and after passing security we were finally heading home to Denver. In just about every way this trip was utterly spectacular! From the places and people we met to the crazy travel schedule, everything was really great. And as a closing remark on the trip, I’d like to thank my cousin Phil and his fiancée Megan once again for allowing me to tag along on this adventure. You guys are awesome!
