Waking up at my usual hour, 5am, I decided to once again venture out in the early hours. With a slight amount of rain the night before I hoped for partial clearing in the weather. Which in my estimation might set the stage for an awesome sunrise. But unfortunately as I headed further West, the true size of the Eastern clouds became apparent. Knowing that there wasn’t much hope for a sunrise I still went up to Plainview Road, one of my favorite local places. Upon arriving at the Jefferson County Open Space the wind was really starting to blow. With a wind chill in the 20’s and strong winds accompanying, I spent as little time as possible outside my Jeep. In many ways wearing a light spring jacket doesn’t cut it in such conditions 🙂 Even though I didn’t see an amazing sunrise, the energy of the wind and fresh air breathed new life to the day.
