After spending the night in Clayton, NM we slowly made our way to Raton Pass. Along the way we stopped off at Capulin Volcano National Monument, NM. There was a light amount of snow on top the volcano. The views of the surrounding lands were amazing on top! After exploring the volcano we headed back on the road. After crossing the border into Colorado we headed to La Veta. Once we finished eating lunch in the town we headed to my Great Uncle’s land in Pueblo County. After driving through Pueblo we arrived back in Arvada at around 8:00pm. Overall it was a great trip and a fantastic way to start the new year! 2010 is off to a great start 馃檪
